Inspired by law-and-order presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro from the Partido Social Liberal (PSL), Temer has decided to prioritise matters of national security. This week, he created a new public security ministry and elevated the role of Brazil’s armed forces, which will lead the fight against organised crime.
