Trade tensions between the US and China have taken a turn for the worse.
Washington has imposed new import tariffs on imports from China, and
Beijing has retaliated. In the long term, the new protectionism looks like it
could be bad news for Latin America overall. But in the short term, as the
cases of Chile and Brazil show, there are both losers and winners.
