Following the success last year of the inaugural 'Holding Up The Mirror' conference examining different aspects of UK-Spain bilateral cultural relations, we return with a distinguished panel of British and Spanish experts. On this occasion we will discuss how UK culture and society is emerging in the eyes of Spaniards as well as Brits in light of Brexit, and in what direction relations between the two countries and wider Hispanic world are headed.
This event will be chaired by Jimmy Burns, Chairman of the British Spanish Society. Panellists include Chris Bryant, Labour MP for the Rhonda and currently serving on the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, John Carlin, author and journalist for El País, Miles Johnson, The Financial Times' Capital Markets Editor, Dr Estrella Luna-Diez from the University of Sheffield, President of the Society of Spanish Researchers in the UK, and Fernando Minguez, a lawyer and partner at Cuatrecasas.
This is a joint event with the British Spanish Society and Instituto Cervantes.
