Following the trend of China’s growth in outward foreign direct investment, Chinese investment into Latin America is becoming more significant. Indeed, in January 2015 President Xi Jinping pledged that China’s investment levels in Latin America would reach USD $250 billion within a decade.

This event, given the remit of Canning House, will focus on the rights of Spanish and Portuguese citizens currently residing in the UK, as well as the looking at immigration law for citizens of Spain and Portugal currently living in those countries.
